Fugitives update: Fall Europe Tour/ New Music/ New Vids!

Hey all,

Sorry we have been a bit absentee this summer. We toured “Everything Will Happen” pretty straight for 2 years, so we took a summer off to decompress. Adrian toured with the fringe percussion group, Brendan wrote a new monologue, Ali released an album, Chris worked with his kick ass choir.

But this fall…we’re back! Should have a couple new vids to you by the end of September. About the same time we are headed into the studio to record some new songs. And then in October-November we have a whirlwind return to Europe set up, with six weeks of straight touring through the UK/Germany/Switzerland/Denmark. Hold on to your hats! Dates to come very soon!

For now, check out this live “Wilderness Years” vid we shot up in Prince George while out there for the Canadian Winter Games!

The Fugitives play the Green Party Rally

It’s Sunday, May 31st from noon- 3pm. See you there!

Canadian Folk Music Award Nomination

Hey all,

Excited to be nominated for a 2014 Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Vocal Group of the Year. Hurrah for singing!

Let’s face it, this is a 96% Adrian Glynn award, but Brendan will take credit for adding just the right bit of generic-ism. You can’t be a group with one!

And on a serious note, thanks to all the people who sing with us: Ali Romanow, Chris Suen, Matt Elwood, Ben Elliot — and especially to Derek Kehler, Brandy Zdan, and Sahra Featherstone, who sang on Everything Will Happen — as well as the great people who came out for gang vocals during the biggest snowstorm in Toronto in the last 15 years. We heart you big time.

We are on the East Coast this weekend for a show at the Company House and a showcase at Contact East in Pictou. See you there!

Glastonbury !

We had an amazing time this weekend playing at Glastonbury. What a festival. Giant animatronic robots, Metallica, Arcade Fire, acrobats, stand up comedians — the works! We were listed in the official guide as a must see act, had a really fun show (complete with a power outage), and made some new friends!

Thanks to everyone who came out across Europe and the UK over the last six weeks. It’s been the tour of a life time. Next up: summer festivals in Canada! More good times await!

London show tomorrow at Topolski’s, Southbank Centre!
