The Fugitives, established in 2007, have released four records, which have been nominated for multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards and a Western Canadian Music Award. Their previous album, Everything Will Happen, spent ten weeks on the top ten Canadian folk charts, and earned them a support slot across Western Canada with Buffy Sainte-Marie and an appearance at UK’s Glastonbury Festival. Their follow-up, The Promise of Strangers, is set for release on January 26th on Borealis Records.

Hey everyone! Wowsers, thanks for an amazing Canada wide tour in support of the EP! We had a great time this fall and really feel like we've played our best shows as a band ever!
We are so psyched that we only took a one day break after tour before heading back into the studio. We're there right now with producer/engineer/cookie eater extraordinaire Matthew Rogers. Skye Brooks is in right now laying down drums to start us off and he's killing it.! We have some amazing guests in on the full length, including Kinnie Starr and Veda Hille.
