The Fugitives

The Fugitives, established in 2007, have released four records, which have been nominated for multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards and a Western Canadian Music Award. Their previous album, Everything Will Happen, spent ten weeks on the top ten Canadian folk charts, and earned them a support slot across Western Canada with Buffy Sainte-Marie and an appearance at UK’s Glastonbury Festival. Their follow-up, The Promise of Strangers, is set for release on January 26th on Borealis Records.

New Album, New Tours!

Hey all, Just a note that we're currently holed up in the studio recording our newest album. The great news is that it's with the amazing John Raham at Afterlife. This is the old Mushroom studios - a beautiful sounding room with a lot of great history, with a fantastic engineer/producer/drummer to boot.

The album will be out in May, 2017, and followed that month with a tour of Germany. We are just putting the finishing touches on the full tour, which will last from May 3-28th, and will post them in a week or so.

Other tour plans are to the UK and Canada in the fall of 2017 and winter of 2018.

See y'all soon. Can't wait to bring you a new album and new shows! Until then, enjoy these old ditties from 2 winters ago at the Canadian Winter Games.

Fugitives update: Fall Europe Tour/ New Music/ New Vids!

Hey all, Sorry we have been a bit absentee this summer. We toured "Everything Will Happen" pretty straight for 2 years, so we took a summer off to decompress. Adrian toured with the fringe percussion group, Brendan wrote a new monologue, Ali released an album, Chris worked with his kick ass choir.

But this fall...we're back! Should have a couple new vids to you by the end of September. About the same time we are headed into the studio to record some new songs. And then in October-November we have a whirlwind return to Europe set up, with six weeks of straight touring through the UK/Germany/Switzerland/Denmark. Hold on to your hats! Dates to come very soon!

For now, check out this live "Wilderness Years" vid we shot up in Prince George while out there for the Canadian Winter Games!
