The Fugitives

The Fugitives, established in 2007, have released four records, which have been nominated for multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards and a Western Canadian Music Award. Their previous album, Everything Will Happen, spent ten weeks on the top ten Canadian folk charts, and earned them a support slot across Western Canada with Buffy Sainte-Marie and an appearance at UK’s Glastonbury Festival. Their follow-up, The Promise of Strangers, is set for release on January 26th on Borealis Records.

Christmas Release and Folk for the Holidays!

Hey everyone, It's weird to be, like, 'Merry Christmas!' in November, but our two new original Christmas songs came out yesterday. They part of a compilation from Light Organ Records, which also features songs by Adrian (team triangle!), Nat Jay, We are the City, Cory Woodward, The Zolas, Adaline, and on and on and on. All amazing Vancouver independent musicians!

Check it out and download it here:

Also, on December 3, we will be playing the annual folk festival fundraiser for the Vancouver Folk Fest. Nothing we would rather support than that! And the line up is sick. Us, Hannah Georgas, The Sojourners, and Roy Forbes. Check all the details for the show here:

The Fugitives in Ontario & Quebec next week!

Hello attractive and industrious people of the Dominion of Canada, The Fugitives are doing a short and sweet mini-tour of Ontario and Quebec next week, that we think you'd be nuts to miss. Oh, why? Well, this year The Fugitives are finally returning to Europe for some long-overdue shows in all of our old haunts. This means that if you want to see us in London, Ontario, as opposed to London, England, you will have to get your boots on and come out next week. It has been medically proven that your head will fall off if you don't see us for an entire year. Don't let it happen to you.
